Zanotto's Downtown Market
When Dan Zanotto and Troy Tibbils decided in January 2004,
to open a grocery store together, the two had a surprisingly
common vision. They both wanted to transform today's grocery
shopping experience by bringing back the community grocery
store of yesteryear. A store designed by and for the customers,
where the primary focus is on service and quality, and
where the employees know the customer's name because of
the personal service they provide not because of a coupon
card.
Zanotto's Downtown Market opened its doors on August 9,
2004 and has quickly become the prime, full-service grocery
store in downtown San Jose. Zanotto's is a key element
of Downtown San Jose's revival and is committed to providing
residents a community grocery store where personal service
and quality are a top priority. This commitment begins
